Hazy mornings

This post is from Tuesday morning.  Hanging out around 6am in my bed with Katie Ray, Mac, and Champ.  I didn't exactly want to be entertaining the troops at that hour...but Mac was more than happy to put on a show!

Sweet babe

Poor Mac got a bad owie on his cheek on Wednesday afternoon and he had a while of healing ahead of him. That morning, for whatever reason, we actually snapped a couple pictures for some reason. It was a happy moment for me to have both my babies on my lap!

They are both getting to be so grown up. Even though I keep asking them to stay exactly the age they are right now!!!!

Standing tall

- this is another one of those posts that should have been up earlier.  I think this was on 7/7 or so...

A couple weeks ago, Mac took his first independent steps. He's stuck with 2-3 steps but last night he stretched it out to about 5 steps.

Is it me, or is he also stretching out like crazy!!?
Here he is this morning:
And here he is exactly a month ago:

While we are here on vacation he's getting lots of practice saying his version of "doggie" and "dada" is also (we think) occasionally saying "water", and "cat" and his own version of "katie Ray."

Splash

Mac is making a splash at the pool these days.
Having two of the palest -- or shall we say "fairest" children on the planet, I am going a bit nuts with the sun block. I also got Mac this dapper one-piece SPF 50 zip up suit.
He doesn't mind it and I frankly think he looks adorable in it!
And for those eagle eyes blog readers, yes this is an indoor pool. But in my defense there is an outdoor pool adjacent and he did swim there for an hour, too! So he needed the protection!

Here's Katie Ray giving him a tow to the shallow end.

Baller

Mac loves to play with a ball.  Any ball of any size, but a favorite is his nerf basketball.
In the absence of a hoop to shoot for (am I crazy for making the basketball hoop an indoor toy!?), he's very happy to shoot for a phantom hoop.
Then he'll go chase it down and we start again.

Let's go!
