He's been under the weather for a few days, but still as sweet as candy.

Kicking off unofficial start to summer with his first swim in a pool on Sunday afternoon. He loved it!

I am so bad about taking photos when special people are in town.

Mac and KR got to see four cousins, an aunt and uncle and a grandma and here's the one photo I have to show for it.  

Mac's cousins so sweetly doted on him, even when he wanted to squirm and 'walk' around and not sit quietly and e cuddled. 

Luckily we will see them again soon as a photo op is a must. 

In the meantime, I actually managed to snap a pic of Mac and Namma, hours before she left!

And for whatever reason here is the one other photo series I got-- Mac trying to get Namma's iPad. 

Sorry Namma, the picture does not do you justice, but you can see how happy the little man is sitting on your lap!  :-)

Birthday boy

He is 1 today!


And he is on the move! He will not sit still for a minute, meaning most of my attempts at a birthday portrait end up being blurry action shots!

Love this little man with all of my heart!!!

But contrary to my tshirt. I'm more of a read a book about Elmo kind of guy. 

I'm also into Biscuit. 

Though truth be told, I've even destroyed some books already. 

There went Elmo's hand!

But oh well, what can you do?

Celebrations

It is so hard to believe that Mac will be one year old on Wednesday.

The year has flown by.

He has gone from our sweet little snuggly baby to an energetic, active, loving, happy, and still very sweet and sometimes-cuddly little boy.


Today we had an early birthday celebration for him with his two grandmothers.

He had his first cupcake, and Katie Ray and I made pudding cakes, too.  Mac doesn't really eat solid food yet, so we wanted to give him the option of pudding, too!

He didn't really like either, but Katie Ray loved both!

What fun we had celebrating!  And since we were expecting him on May 18th, it was kind of perfect timing.

Happy Birthday, Baby Boy!! We love you with all our hearts!

Well hi

This is a post from a few weeks back... Another one that I wrote but the system didn't publish! Grrr...

Poor little Mac has been under the weather a lot lately. I jinxed myself last Saturday when I said that at last I could put away the humidifiers since we were all healthy at last.

And then within hours Mac came down with a fever which transitioned into a new cold Sunday night, and kicked his lingering cough back into high hacking gear, and now tonight the poor little nugget puked up his entire dinner (all over me!)

Here he is last Friday, the calm before the storm. 

Through it all, my little champ (lower case champ here) has been been so cheerful and sweet, it's so sad! Capital c Champ has been great too of course.  Hop on over to KR's blog to see them in action.  

Ps he's actually waving at a balloon here.   He has developed a huge attachment to a balloon KR for for her birthday. It's pretty funny.
