Mac has been scooting around like crazy. In fact, he know has a war wound to show for it-- do you see the big blister on the poor baby's right foot (just next to his big toe!)!!

Being the cheerful little man he is, he hasn't complained at all, or let it slow him down at all.

Santa Baby

I'm not sure that I've shared (or even taken!) any pics of Mac in his Christmas pjs. And now he's almost grown out of them.

They are 9 month size.  When I bought them in mid-November, they were too big for him.  Just like most of the other 9 month items I bought. 

Now he is exactly 8 months old and he's grown out of most of his 9 month clothing!

He can wear these a little longer because they aren't "footies", but he is ready for a size up.  I can't believe it!

He is such a big boy now! I realize I need to post about all of his (amazing, of course) milestones.

Summer Days

{Blogger lets me down a lot...here is a post I wrote a week ago, but somehow didn't realize that it hadn't posted.  Never mind --summer days are still here!  It's been in the 80s all week and going strong...}

Summer days seem to be here... Even though it's January, it got up to at least 80 today.  Last night at 5:45 in Santa Monica it was still that warm.

So anyway, Mac had to sport some summer clothes appropriate for the warm temps.

Don't fence me in

Mac has a new "dedicated play space" that might also be referred to as a "play pen".

It's actually quite pleasant to sit in there with him.  This weekend I sat in there to eat my breakfast and Champ couldn't harass me to share!

I guess Mac wanted to get in on the eating act!

Two of a kind

In the mist

Strolling in the mist means wearing mittens and a hat.

Morning

Some people are morning people.

Some people like me can't even think of captions for a picture because I'm too tired.

Mac slept through the night Monday night.  That was awesome.

 But last night, not so much.

I know he's sorry.

And a little part of me doesn't really mind anyway because getting to cuddle him, and having him burrow his little face into my neck, and getting to hold his tiny hands for two hours is pretty good.

ps. Mac has been "mobile" for a while now due to his ability to roll himself all over the place. Over the weekend he showed his first signs of actually wanting to crawl, and yesterday he had some success with "commando crawling", where he uses his arms to drag himself a bit.  Still just early attempts though.
